Feeling adventurous? Try using cold pressed carrot juice in your Z-Ora bowl to give it a delicious, summer twist!
50g of Z-Ora bowl of your choice
1 cup of cold pressed carrot juice
3-4 tbsp of oats1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
1 tsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of melon seeds
1 tsp chopped almonds
1 carrot (grated)
Did you know that the humble carrot is, unsurprisingly, an excellent source of beta-carotene, which like lycopene is an antioxidant pigment with sun-protective powers? Those natural cartenoids (the orange pigment in a carrot), powerful anti-oxidants, and beta-carotene work on protecting your skin from the inside out by increasing the skin's immunity. It's a natural sunscreen and will help to heal sunburns! A medium-sized carrot per day is sufficient if you want to reap the sun protective benefits and counts as one of your five-a-day.
